How do you do that?
Well the visual part of visual merchandising does just that, it sparks the imagination, creates a need: if the consumer can see the product, they are more apt to buy it. It is an art really and needs some attention, but with a little bit of attention you can have a large impact on the bottom line.
Sometimes the basics of why product is placed somewhere is completely overcome by the fact that it just needs to be out and there is no room … right… yes well “Space is the final frontier” isn’t it….. At least it is according to Captain Kirk on Star Trek!! It is our biggest problem too.
You will always be making concessions because of lack of space, but there are some basic things you can adhere to that will increase the ability to sell more products. So yes I will hold you to task, where you put things in a store does matter and has an impact on sales. And how you put things also has an impact!
I will challenge you to go back to your store and improve your sales with product placement. You will leave the Seminar with tools in hand for a do it yourself store face lift… and no you do not need to remodel to garner the benefits of improved merchandising.
