The people have spoken!! We showed a prototype version of this bike on our blog in Summer 2011 just to show the concept, but at that time we had no intention of ranging this bike. However that single blog piece generated a huge level of interest and had Genesis fans literally begging us to make this bike and so we did make it! It’s quite simple really, a disc specific singlespeed version of our Day 1 Cross bike.

We are pleased to announce that Garmin's much-awaited Vector pedals will available for a first try at iceBike*.

Garmin's new pedal power meter system works off a four sided array of strain gauges that fits inside the pedal spindle, which feeds data to an external transmitter. That in turn is sent to a head unit via the ANT+ protocol. Power is calculated through measuring the deflection of the pedals around the full pedal stroke, which means not only do you get total power to the pedals, you can also see if there's an imbalance in your pedal stroke.

iceBike* is back!  Following the immense popularity of last years event, we are pleased to announce that registration is now open for our 2012 show! 

 As last year, iceBike* will be held in the grounds of our distribution centre in Milton Keynes, between Tuesday 21st  and Thursday 23rd February

iceBike* boasts some 700sq m of bikes on display including full 2012 ranges from Saracen, Ridgeback, Genesis and Cervélo, including first shows of previously unreleased models and some sneak peeks of our latest prototypes. There will also be cycle parts and accessory displays from every brand that Madison distributes - that's more than 2000sqm of everything new and exciting from key brands like Shimano, Giro, Bell, Park Tool, GoPro, DT Swiss and more!
