First dedicated jersey and shorts for indoor training from the British brand
Unless you’ve been under a rock – or living in sunny SoCal – you can’t help but have noticed that turbo training is blowing up. What used to be the crazy winter pastime of dedicated roadies now has thousands of people trading in evenings on their sofas for a couple of hours climbing virtual mountains.
But as indoor training tech gets ever smarter, the clothing has remained the same. Until now. Madison Clothing have been doing their share of Zwifting, and realised that the different demands of indoor riding need different kit. What sort of kit, you say? Well kit like the new Turbo range.
Indoor training is a hot, sweaty business. Even if you have a fan that could blast paint off a fence from forty feet, you’re still going to find yourself saturated within minutes of starting to pedal. This is where the Turbo range comes into its own. Madison Clothing have stripped back the jersey and shorts to their bare essentials, maximising wicking and minimising insulation to keep you cool and comfortable.
The Turbo jersey (£44.99) is an open mesh design with no external prints or rear pockets, keeping weight and bulk right down. There’s the all-important anti-bacterial coating to the fabric as well, and it can be washed at 60 degrees meaning no matter how bad your predilection for perspiration, you’ll be able to get it clean.
The Turbo shorts (£69.99) are built around a custom Italian chamois. The open mesh straps are highly breathable, silicon grippers keep the legs in place and the pre-curved shape is perfect for hours of chewing your handlebars. The shorts have the same anti-bacterial treatment as the jersey, and are just as capable of withstanding a hot wash so they’ll be ready and clean every time you need them.
To be shown at iceBike* on the Madison Clothing stand and available to pre-order, the all new Turbo collection offers you the ability to add onto those smart trainer sales.
