Unless you’ve been living under a rock this week, you’ll have seen the news that Park Tool’s Director of Education and true cycling industry legend, Calvin Jones, has announced his retirement.
While this marks the end of an incredible era, we’re honoured to announce that Calvin will be bowing out in style by joining us at iceBike* London on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th February.
Register for the show and head down to Lee Valley VeloPark to help give this great man the send-off he truly deserves.
Eric Hawkins, CEO and Chief Mechanic at Park Tool, said: “I think the thing I admire most about Calvin is that to this day he lives and breathes what he teaches. He’s passionate about the science of bikes and is a gifted teacher who can clearly explain even the most complex concepts. Through his writings, videos, and personal interactions he’s helped millions understand how their bike works and how to best keep it working. It’s been an amazing run, and now, nearly 29 years later we owe a lot to Calvin for his unique ability to demystify bike repair and maintenance.”

During the show, Calvin will be hosting his renowned tech talks in the presentation area, as well as spending time on the Park Tool stand chatting with shop staff. To mark the occasion properly, we’ll also be celebrating Calvin’s career in London.
